Teaming up with a group of Overlanders, Menniker procured a nuclear missile, hoping to strike down the Floating Island. Some generations later, after the birth of the Guardians Harlan, Rembrandt, Aaron and Jordan, Menniker and a few members of the Dark Legion managed to escape the Twilight Zone. However, they were repelled and forced back into their prison zone. Thanks to stolen Nocturnus technology, during Moonwatcher's tenure as Guardian, the Dark Legion managed to escape from the Twilight Zone and attack.
